Qualitype was founded in 2015 by Allen Chiu, Simon Abranowicz, and Elia Fornari in New York. The typefaces are designed collaboratively by Allen and Simon using a very unique and intricate 3 part process involving a pure creative stage, a negotiation stage, and several refinement stages. Elia Fornari is a coder and web designer currently working in New York City. Qualitype is a subsidiary of Qual Agency, a creative agency focusing on graphic design, web design, photography, and art direction.
